Jerry Cohen
Certified Public Accountant/Personal Financial Specialist (CPA/PFS), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA)
Jerry Cohen, CPA/PFS, ChFC, CDFA, CLU facilitates financial settlements for divorcing couples and individuals. He provides the information and knowledge to help clients arrive at prudent financial decisions both during and after the divorce. He is a principal of Financial Solutions for Divorce, a divorce financial planning firm with offices in Pasadena, Los Angeles, Encino, and Westlake, California.
Jerry received his BS degree in accounting from California State University, Northridge in 1973. He earned his CPA license in 1976, a Professional Designation in Personal Financial Planning in 1983, his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) credential in 1999, his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) credential in 2002, a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) credential in 2002, his AICPA Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential in 2004, completed his Collaborative Divorce training in 2004, completed 30 hours of basic mediation training in 2005, 40 hours of divorce mediation training in 2007, and Advanced Family and Divorce Conflict Resolution Training in 2007.
Jerry currently serves on the board of the California Divorce Planners Network. He was a charter member and served on the board of the San Fernando Valley chapter of the International Association of Financial Planning. He served on the California Senate Rules Committee Task Force on Financial Planning, as President of the American Association of Personal Financial Planners, as Chairman of the Los Angeles Chapter of the California Society of CPAs Personal Financial Planning Committee, and on the board for the Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association. He was a contributing editor for Practical Financial Planning magazine.
Prior to entering the divorce financial
planning profession, Jerry was the managing partner for a local CPA firm, managed his own
independent financial planning firm, and held several management positions in national and
international financial services companies.
Jerry is a member of the American Institute of CPAs/Personal Financial Planning Division, the Institute for Certified Divorce Planners, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, California Society of CPAs/Family Law Section, the Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association, California Divorce Planners Network, and the Collaborative Practice Group of Pasadena.
He grew up in Chicago, Illinois and has
lived in southern California since 1971.

Stephanie Maloney,
Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®), Certified Divorce
Financial Analyst (CDFA), has over 20 years of professional experience in
the financial services industry providing a broad range of financial and advisory services
for her clients.
Ms. Maloney is one of the first
practicing divorce planners in the Los Angeles area. Stephanie earned her Certified
Financial Planning (CFP®) credential from the College for Financial Planning in Denver,
Colorado in 1991. She completed the training by the Institute for Divorce Financial
Analysts as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst in 1999. She has also taken
Collaborative Divorce training and completed 30 hours of mediation training.
Having personally gone through a divorce
involving the future of her child, Stephanie is prepared to assist her clients, both
financially and emotionally. Stephanies education and expertise focus on eliminating
emotional aspects while setting up a disciplined approach to making financial and
investment decisions. She does this by providing dynamic tools and techniques and counsel,
to help individuals reach their personal and financial goals.

Stephanie enjoys spending time with her
family; Patrick, her husband, and their three girls and living by the beach in Venice,
